FAI Final in the Aviva
On June 9th, our brilliant Tuairíní boys' soccer team did the entire school proud at the FAI 5-a-side national finals! The talented squad—Tim, Nathan, Luke, Patrick G, Patrick H, Liam, Jacob, and Dylan—put on a masterclass of skill and determination, battling their way to a fantastic second-place finish overall. When the organizers called for a three-way penalty shootout between the top three teams to decide the final standings, our boys showed absolute nerve and confidence. Tuairíní executed a flawless shootout, scoring every single penalty with sheer precision. A special shoutout goes to Nathan, who not only coolly converted his own penalty but also pulled off crucial, tricky saves to seal our spot at the top. The day was an absolute dream come true for our young sports stars. From walking through the official player entrance and gearing up in the professional dressing rooms to warming up in the elite training areas, every moment felt magical. The ultimate highlight came as the team marched out through the tunnel onto the pitch at the Aviva Stadium—a memory they will treasure forever. A huge thank you to our incredible 5th and 6th Class supporters and all of the parents and children who traveled to cheer on the team. Covered in face paint and waving flags, their unstoppable energy brought an electric atmosphere and endless fun to the stands, making it a truly unforgettable day for the whole Tuairíní community!
